Our story begins in the limestone valleys of Wensleydale, where Giuseppe Puzz arrived from Piedmont in 1923.
Giuseppe brought Italian affinage techniques to Yorkshire dairy farms, blending Old World craft with the lush pastures of the Dales. His son Aldo expanded the family recipe book, and today his granddaughter Elena runs our Norwich shop while still sourcing milk from the same cooperative of Yorkshire farmers.
Cheese is memory. Every bite should carry the scent of rain on limestone and the warmth of a farmhouse kitchen.
We still use raw milk from grass-fed herds, animal rennet, and hand-ladled curds. No shortcuts, no industrial shortcuts — just time, temperature, and the quiet work of ageing.
Read Our Full StoryIn 2018, Elena opened the Norwich shop at 8 Market Pl to bring Yorkshire cheeses to East Anglia. The cellar beneath the shop maintains a constant 11°C and 92% humidity — ideal conditions for our blue cheeses and washed-rind wheels.
We host monthly tasting evenings where visitors sample new batches alongside local wines and ciders. Check our window display for the next date, or ask at the counter.
Our packaging uses recycled cardboard and compostable wax paper. We work directly with farmers who practise rotational grazing and maintain hedgerow habitats for wildlife across the Yorkshire landscape.

The Heritage Blue is extraordinary — creamy, bold, and nothing like supermarket blues. The staff recommended a local honey that paired beautifully.
Ordered the Yorkshire Classic hamper for my parents' anniversary. Arrived perfectly packed, still cool, and the oatcakes were a lovely touch.
A hidden gem on Market Place. The smoked cheddar changed my mind about smoked cheese forever. Will be back every Saturday.
